Description:
This zine describes the author's employment as a dishwasher in New Orleans, Alaska, and on oil rigs. The rigors of the job and the characters he meets are highlighted. Also included are quotes by famous authors about dishwashing as a profession or working in ships' galleys (Jack London, Willa Cather, Woodie Guthrie, Thomas Fleming, Jesus Colon). A comic called "The Dish King," about dishwashers and dishwashing, by Gavin McInnes, is also part of the zine.

A kind of Exquisite Corpse exercise (Google the term if you don't know it); a collection of people from around the world exchanged short stories anonymously and then had their secret partner illustrate the story into a comic. The Dragomen is the resulting Exquisite Corpse. The stories that inspired the comics are include in a mini-zine in the pocket of the back cover.

Description:
A zine apparently compiled by prisoners (price: $2 cash, free to prisoners), Dwan looks to be fairly prolific and long running, comprised of poems, essays and some diary type entries. In this particular issue there is an interesting insert; an essay on purple paper entitled "Being a Wiccan in Prison 5". Includes a mixture of Spanish language material as well.
