Connecting with Zines

By cwatson - Posted on 31 March 2009

They may shun the idea of digitizing their work, but zinesters have undoubtedly harnessed many a networking tool to help connect with each other.  The following is a list of websites that might help you get more involved in the world of zine making, trading, collecting, or appreciating.

wemakezines.ning.com

We make zines is the official zine-makers' social networking site with over 1,000 members, all of whom not only know what a zine is, but either make or collect them!  Great place to trade your zine, or just get to know lots of others who love the independent press culture.

zinewiki.com

The growing authority in zine archiving.  Zinewiki is moderated by some of the most serious zine collectors in the world and the vast amounts of content in the site reflect their dedication.  Heard of a zine but can't remember the name?  Like an author and want to know more about them or what else they make?  Looking to read something new, but want a briefer on your choices first?  This site is for you.

Zine World

Hands down, most extensive zine review publication available.  Jerianne Thompson outdoes herself with each issue.  If ever you wonder where to go to find new zines, you need wonder no more.  Zine world is always looking for new zine reviewers, too.
